I have gratitude today for...
* deciding to work from home and sleeping later than usual. I worked late to make up for it but I felt so awful this morning I had to sleep. I don't know what's up with feeling this crappy but I hope it goes away soon.
* talking with Doug for a little bit this afternoon about a new opportunity that has to do with health and coaching people. I really like what I've heard so far.
* Andy getting home before 5:30 today. It feels funny having him home so early after many years of late dinners and staying up too late because our nights went by so fast. We are looking forward to having time to go to the gym, cook dinner, watch some TV and still get to bed before midnight.
* watching the first episode of this season's Newsroom. I love that show. It stinks to have to wait until next week for another episode.
* talking to John for a little bit tonight and working on MM stuff. He made me feel a little bit better about what's going on at work and some of the possible changes that lie ahead.
* the sweet Thank You card I got from Kelly today for her shower. It was such a great day!
* the fun Dave Matthews story today about a couple that picked him up in Hershey and brought him to a show because he got a flat tire on his bike while out for a ride. By late morning at least 10 people had sent me the link via email, text or FB. Yes, I am a little (ok, a lot) jealous. I think it's so cool it wasn't a forced meeting and they genuinely got to spend time with him. Reminds me he's just a regular buy.

I have gratitude today for...
* a fun morning with Kelly and all of her friends. We had bagels and coffee and helped Jac clean up a little bit. Then we went to the beach for a couple of hours---another perfect day! The ocean was awesome, not too cold and great waves!
* grilling (no fire this time) for lunch and eating with Jac & Allison. Then I went to the beach for another hour before it was time to shower and pack up. It was so nice on the beach, I didn't want to leave.
* visiting Ross & Diane and meeting 2 of their daughters before I left LBI. There house is really cool, on the north end of the island.
* an easy drive home from LBI with no traffic.
* takeout from Carrabba's and Newsroom when Andy & I both arrived home. It was a nice way to end a great weekend!

I have gratitude today for...
* finding a few more black dresses to check out at JCPenney for the wedding.
* lunch with John at Plaza Azteca. I wish they jarred their salsa, it's my favorite.
* finally getting all of the money stuff from the DMB shows figured out. I've been putting it off and I only have a few more emails to send out.
* ordering a pair of black Reef flip-flops and a hemp pair of Rainbow flip-flops. I need good ones, it's time to get rid of my crappy Old Navy ones.
* the shoes for Kelly's wedding arriving. They fit and look cute!
* going to Aim High for yoga tonight. It's been several months since I last went to a class and I really enjoyed it. I'm really disappointed with myself that I've let things go this long (again). But I know the only thing I can do is start making improvements from here, so that's what I'm going to try to do.

I have gratitude today for...
* chatting with Debbie for a while today on gchat. We talked about family stuff and some other things. I wish she lived closer but at least we chat pretty regularly.
* sending out the details for Kelly's bachelorette this weekend. I'm so excited!
* finding two awesome dresses from Nordstrom that could work for the wedding. I have several already but I'm not really in love with any of them. We'll see how these work out.
* deciding to stay home tonight and hang with Andy. We went out to DSW because he needed a new pair of brown shoes. There were a few pairs I really liked on sale but I said no. I freaking love shoes! We had a roasted chicken and sliced potatoes with fresh rosemary and watched the Phillies game.

I have gratitude today for...
* waking up in a country where we have freedoms that so many other people throughout the world do not have. Our country's laws, politics, government etc. are not perfect, but we are very lucky to be able to live basically however we want.
* getting up early this morning since we went to bed so early last night. I slept great, finally! I made the potato salad and beer bread w/garlic garlic and cheddar cheese.
* going to the Field Races with Jeff & Megan and the kids. Jeffrey, Molly & James all did great.
* relaxing on the upstairs deck this afternoon. I read, wrote on my blog, caught up on some emails and took a little nap. It was beautiful up there---not too hot with a breeze.
* choosing to have a plate of veggies to snack on instead of chips or something else unhealthy. I'm still having a hard time getting back into eating healthy and exercising. I need motivation! Maybe Kelly's wedding being 3 weeks away should work!
* meeting up with the Fry's on the beach again. We met some of their friends, I especially enjoyed talking with Patty. It was less windy today and we stayed until almost 6:00
* dinner at the beach house with everyone and then watching the fireworks on the deck. It was a great view over the sound.
* looking at some more houses online when we got home. Andy found a great one in West Chester that I really like.
* by Dad celebrating 27 years of sobriety today. He saved his life and our family. I am always thankful we grew up understanding alcoholism and our parents were open with us about it rather than being shielded from it like so many kids are. When I was in high school I met so many new friends who had parents that were also alcoholics, but most were not in recovery. I realized then how different our lives could have been if my Dad wasn't as strong and dedicated to his sobriety and our family.

I have gratitude today for...
* being able to clean with Megan early this morning for Sharon. She's such a nice lady and really appreciates us.
* talking with Doug this afternoon about his next move. He told me all about his new company and what his plans are for building a team in the northeast.
* DelValMedia closing at 3pm today---so I was able to stop sending emails and making calls early.
* meeting the Fry's at the beach near the Sea Isle bridge this afternoon. I've never been there and always thought it looks so pretty. It was nice but reallllly windy. We had a few beers and made the best of the sandstorm.
* my bruschetta being a hit with everyone again this year. I love it when people enjoy food that I've made.
* a great family dinner with the Fry's. Erin & Bill had dinner tonight- london broil, eggplant parm, roasted potatoes, salad and corn on the cob. Yum!
* going to bed early tonight so I can get up early tomorrow and make the most of my day off for July 4th.

I have gratitude today for...
* getting up early and spending the morning reading on the deck. I cut up an orange and strawberries and had breakfast outside. It was beautiful out this morning.
* taking a bike ride to the library to check out some People magazines (my beach reading) and a few cds. I was able to check out the new Justin Timberlake CD, I've been wanting to listen to it.
* taking the Tony Robbins assessment on-line today. The questions were challenging to answer but the results seem to be pretty accurate. I'm interested in hearing what Coach Ed has to say about them.
* going to the beach for a little bit this afternoon. It was more windy than yesterday and a little chilly so we didn't stay long.
* eating an early dinner; Andy made chicken marsala. It was nice to have someone cooking for me. I'm usually the one that cooks down here.

I have gratitude today for...
* lunch with John at Baggataway's. I feel like I never see or talk to him much anymore. He filled me in on what's going on with Suburban/Philadelphia Life.
* a great dinner with Joel from BIRE Financial and Doug. Andy got to meet both of them and we discussed our current investments, retirement, what needs to change as far as my life insurance investments go, etc. I'm a little disappointed I was steered in the wrong direction (for my age) back in 2006. At the time I didn't really understand investing and liked how cash builds up in a whole life policy. However, I have learned it is too conservative of an approach and the advisers I've worked with have done nothing to evaluate where my money is. I feel much more comfortable with Joel and look forward to him helping us.
* talking to Kelly about wedding stuff for a bit during our drive to Avalon.
* Andy driving to Avalon tonight, by the time we were halfway there I could barely keep my eyes open. I'm still catching up from last week and I didn't sleep well last night.
* all of the awesome emails, texts, messages etc. thanking us for this weekend and hearing how much fun people had. I thought it was really great too, but to hear how much our friends appreciated and enjoyed the weekend meant so much. I hope we can do it all again for winter tour or next summer!
